Responsible drinking – Our commitment
At Athenian Brewery, we want the consumption of our products to be associated with pleasurable experiences that bring people together, creating positive memories and offering enjoyment. We are against the abuse and excessive consumption of alcohol, which is why we implement a wide range of initiatives every year to promote responsible drinking.
- We voluntarily set and follow high standards and strict rules regarding our marketing and advertising.
- All our commercial activities, marketing and advertising are aimed exclusively at adults, and we avoid any activities that might involve minors.
- Our advertisements promote the responsible enjoyment of alcohol and not its effects.
- Television advertisements are broadcast after 7pm, and all the featured individuals are over 18.
- We do not sponsor events aimed at people under the legal drinking age.
- We do not sponsor car or motorcycle races, etc.
- The message “enjoy responsibly” appears on all our packaging and in every advertisement.
- Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to access our website, which includes a dedicated section on responsible drinking.
- Finally, we require our partners to be aware of our alcohol policy and to follow our principles for the promotion of responsible drinking.
Our principles for Responsible Drinking
- We believe that responsible consumption of beer can be part of a balanced and positive lifestyle for adults who choose it.
2. We believe that informed citizens are responsible for their own behaviour.
3. We are committed to properly informing the general public about responsible alcohol consumption.
4. We believe that our employees should be the first to demonstrate responsible behaviour regarding alcohol consumption.
5. We are committed to ensuring that all our commercial activities fully comply with the law, as well as our company’s principles, discouraging the irresponsible consumption of alcohol.
6. We invest in dialogue and in taking concrete action with our social partners to prevent the abuse and irresponsible consumption of alcohol.
7. We are committed to systematically monitoring, evaluating and reporting on our efforts to promote responsible drinking.
We believe there is only one rule that applies to all adult consumers: “Always drink in moderation – at the right time, in the right place and for the right reasons”
